DCLRS was founded in 1991 with three clients. These clients have helped DCLRS to expand and develop into the company that we are today. We have gradually expanded our client base and team because your success depends upon a strong team that understands the issues and knows the policy experts that make the decisions. Our growth is a result of successfully guiding companies and associations through the legislative and regulatory process. Our long-term success stems from an ability to integrate our team with our clients, create effective strategies for success, and analyze and articulate goals that legislators and regulators accept.
DCLRS also listens carefully to what legislators and regulators tell us about the political climate on Capitol Hill and in the federal agencies. Our frequent and candid communication with legislators and regulators is an invaluable tool that helps us understand what is really going on in the legislative and regulatory arena and how to achieve success. We work daily to build strong relationships and understand proposed legislation. We constantly walk the halls of Congress and visit the policy makers in the various agencies. DCLRS is often able to eliminate, modify or alter legislation and regulation to benefit our clients. Our expertise and strategy includes: writing white papers, comments, analysis, and drafting amendments and bill language. DCLRS often analyzes regulations and legislation in order to interpret the impact on clients and to understand how they will affect their specific business interests. Based on this analysis, we work with our clients to implement an effective advocacy plan.
