Labor & Immigration
Seasonal and labor intensive industries face many challenges in recruiting and retaining employees. With legislation constantly being introduced to eliminate or restrict temporary worker programs, we are often working to inform members of Congress and their staff about the importance these industries have on the economy. Knowing the frameworks of the H-2B Certification for Temporary Non-Agriculture and H-2A Temporary Agriculture Programs allows DCLRS to keep our clients informed of changes that will impact their business.
“DCLRS has proven to be an invaluable resource in advancing our industry’s interests in immigration reform and other workplace issues. Their technical expertise and their wide network of contacts in the halls of Congress and government agencies enable DCLRS clients to craft politically astute strategies and implement them successfully.”

DCLRS represents several associations and coalitions concerned about labor and immigration policy issues. DCLRS focuses on workforce issues including enforcement and access to reliable legal labor sources. We have experience in addressing legislative and regulatory issues that face the industry, such as Ag JOBS, E-verify, the H-2B, and H-2A Programs, as well as the need for comprehensive immigration reform. In addition, DCLRS has engaged in other areas of labor policy including issues related to labor union organizing and workplace safety. DCLRS is well equipped to address these issues with numerous contacts in both Congress and the regulatory agencies.
