Infrastructure & Transportation

An efficient national transportation and infrastructure system is vital to the efficient movement of products domestically and internationally.  Our nation’s infrastructure also provides protection for homes, businesses, and natural resources.  Unfortunately, our aging infrastructure requires revitalization.

DCLRS is immersed in the national policy debate about the most efficient and cost-effective means of improving our nation’s transportation and infrastructure system.  We have worked with Congress and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to secure funding for a flood protection system.  On behalf of our clients, we are also advocating for the reinvigoration of our national locks and dams, and using the best technology to mitigate traffic congestion.  We are closely following the discussion related to the reauthorization of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETYEA-LU) and the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA).
