DC Legislative & Regulatory Services maintains an ongoing internship program to provide undergraduate and graduate students with government relations work experience. Interns gain valuable insights into the legislative and regulatory processes and have the opportunity to make contacts on Capitol Hill and within several federal agencies. We offer flexible hours, a modest stipend and course credit.
Intern responsibilities include the following:
- Monitor current legislation and regulation that may impact our clients;
- Research, summarize and edit relevant newspaper and journal articles for use in client reports and association newsletters;
- Attend Congressional hearings;
- Perform independent research projects.
Requirements:
- Microsoft Office proficiency;
- Strong writing and editing skills;
- Effective research skills;
- Professional demeanor;
- Ability to work independently;
- Enthusiastic attitude.
